Jailbroken is where you can install apps/themes/games/emulators/ect for free
Unjailbroken is pretty much a normal iPod touch.
If your looking to jailbreak it theres to ways, Tethered or Untethered.
Untethered is where you can turn your device off, then turn it back on no problems.
Tethered you have to do a bunch of stuff to it if you turn if off or it dies.
I recommend tethered tho because it is way more stable.
If you want tethered use cyw00d. Its really user friendly. But if you still needd help with it such up cyw00d on google.
