Step 1: Create a folder called Pwnage on your desktop.

Step 6: Select your iPhone from the list of devices mentioned in the left side.

Click and hold down Option and click the Restore button.

Step 8: When you finish updating your iTunes iPhone, launched redsn0w.app of Pwnage folder on your desktop.

Step 9: After Redsn0w opens click on the Browse button.

Step 10: Now, select the firmware ipsw that you have placed in the Pwnage folder and click the Open button.

Step 11: After the firmware has been verified, click the Next button to continue.

Step 12: Make sure that you choose for Cydia checkbox and click the Next button.

Step 13: Now Redsn0w will instruct you on how to put your iPhone into recovery mode 3GS.

Disconnect your iPhone from the computer and power it OFF.

Hold the Home button while you connect your iPhone to the computer 3GS.

Note: Do not release the Home button until your iPhone Redsn0w detect and begin installation.

Step 14: You are now the iPhone will reboot itself.
