The SE115 uses Second Generation Dynamic MicroSpeakers to deliver rich, warm sound quality. Sound isolating sleeves in multiple sizes block outside noise and provide a secure, comfortable fit, so you can listen like a pro while rocking out like a star.

Shure’s SE115 has some good things going on this (from my perspective). If you want bass, to give. But note bass part sounds a bit artificial. Response is much better at medium low end of the frequency spectrum (special note on vocals, they sound more real, slightly warm, which is quite good change to Sennheiser’s vocals quite crispy cold). As more emphasis on the bass (which is what Shure is probably aiming for with this product) trippli take the back seat but it’s still there. Plus, and this is important to me, because they are in ear earphones I was expecting more experience on-face (or ear, if you like), but the sound I got was a bit distant and muffled. This baffled me, because my PX100 and manage to deliver 595 HD experience on your face while they are on the ears. Perhaps this is due to the heavier bass (Shure foam tips and anatomy and driver), but note this when you decide to buy these phones. I would peg it more preferences than good or bad quality.

A friend of mine who is an electrical engineer recommended these headphones based on their frequency response. I bought the Bose in ear headphones thinking that sounds good. They are replacing the Bose headphones because they did not feel safe while in, and the peaks were slightly muffled. The SE110 Shure ear comes very safe and does an excellent job of cutting the ambient noise in any atmosphere you’re in. I use the Shure headphones while working abroad and these do not fall while doing some cardio or strength training. The sound quality is superb and very rich in ear headphones.

They come with a carrying case, 3 different size rubber inserts gray, and black foam inserts 3. This ensures that you will find as your ear correctly and stay comfortable. The best they fit in your ear, the better the audio quality is. For example, if you use an insert that is too small for your ear, the bass is very weak. I currently use the black foam inserts, style why do the best practices in dampening noise from the environment your in. It’s almost like putting ear plug in your ear, which is hollowed by the music they sent you directly into your ear canal. I am a musician most picky when it comes to audio quality. They pass the test, I highly recommend them.

How to Pick the Right Earphones

Stoney Jackson asked:

The iPod is the most popular mp3 player but it comes with inexpensive earphones. Anyone who has tried to listen to music for an extended period of time with them knows that they start to hurt. They also only have middle of the road sound quality.

If you travel a lot on airplanes, it is very nice to have a pair of the noise canceling headphones that have been on the market for a while now. They make any airplane trip more enjoyable and often save me from landing with a headache. Most of the time though, you just want to wear a regular pair of earphones to listen to your mp3 player and not those bulky noise canceling ones.

If you set out to find a good pair of earphones, you first need to figure out what qualities you are looking for and how much you are willing to pay. If you find a pair that are real comfortable and yet have poor sound, you will still not have what you are looking for. Not everyone puts the same value on the quality of sound, as some people want only the best. Other people can’t really tell the difference anyway and any middle of the road pair of earphones would be fine for them.

If high quality sound is what you are looking for, you should be warned that you could pay quite a bit for it. Mp3 earphones can cost as much as $200 to $400 dollars at the highest levels. Other people will place more value on comfort and have that be the only criteria they are looking for.

For the everyday person, the best choice of earphones is probably ones that cost between $20 and $100. For that price, you can get a pair that gives you a good sound quality as well as the comfort you desire. Unfortunately, many earphones come wrapped in a strong plastic packaging and there might be no way to try them first. This might present a problem if you are trying to find ones that you think will be comfortable.
